Learning and teaching in a Web 2.0 world requires both teachers, leaders, and students to be learners. Information is ubiquitous, multimodal, and represents a myriad of points of view. The role of the 21st century global citizen is to become steeped in understanding our world utilizing a variety of resources containing diverse points of view. The role of the teacher in the 21st century is to assist learners in navigating this information, analyzing relevant details, and building skills for independent and lifelong navigation of multiple perspectives.

• Staff engage in job-embedded training, workshops, and development during their paid work time.

• Teachers develop Personal Development Plans with colleagues, aligned to National and State standards, District Strategic Goals, and Increased Student Achievement aimed at eliminating the Achievement Gap.

• Administrators lead by inclusion, sharing the roles and responsibilities with skilled members of the community embracing student understandings and sensibilities of their own learning.
